I chanced upon this sketch..and loved it so much I kept a copy.. If you could see my rubber stamp collection you'd notice a whole shelf of "faces".

A small stash of fabric for a quilting project. I love black & white with a POP of red or any bright color.

This was set up for Halloween, but I kept the 3 singing cats out and smile as I pass by them each day.

And as soon as I can find time with some inspiration, I hope to get back into designing something with PSE. The old body is acting up and the doctors have me run ragged with tests to see if any surgery will help. If not, I don't know what they will come up with to give me some relief from this GERD... But they know my innerds better than they know MY FACE.

And I've learned that I've had a GRAND LIFE if this body is any indication.. I've worn it out pretty fast... GRANNY

My DD#1 in uniform- a fourth generation of Nursing .
would you believe this one page has 12 + photo layers.. just look at the following layers going from 12 to 1 and know that this can be done in paper as well as digital. I worked this one in digital.. with credits to RaSPBERRY Road for the frame with a cluster as my inspiration for coloring ..Isn't that ROSE great!

I color and shade all the papers myself and found other elements thru Digi Free search engine.. so head over and see what you can download for FREE.

layer 12- Title and journaling comes last for me.

layer 11 . A round frame with clusters at the bottom from Raspberry Road.. is the inspiration for my choice of background colors..

layer 10--here is where you would add your photo on the dark matt area.

layer 9- a hint of word art and line of buttons with string gives more depth

layer 8 --there is a subtle color change here.. I wanted to dampen down the bright look, so added the layer 1 and clicked on soft light & reduced opacity to 75%.

layer 7 - use left over scraps of paper of contrasting color..and neutrals to give depth.. (DIGI-add drop shadows and outlines for addition interest)

layer6 - one straight, one slate a bit..with ink or outline of white..

layer 5 - If one strip is good, add another.

layer 4- contrast color with a velum piece/scrap

layer 3- U used my brushes (digi) for a splatter look .. in whites and darks. MOST of this will be covered so play around and have fun with this layer.

layer 2 - 2 paper layer with approx 1/2 inch trimmed off the top one.

layer 1 - I checked the shadow on the Frame cluster to get this dark, neutral color as my base.. Just a starting point to keep the continuity of the final layer.. * USE A NEUTRAL*

New year- BACK 2 Basics

I am so slow about where to go with this spot.. and have been surfing to get some kind of inspiration. Since this is my Hobby/Crafty show off spot, it takes a bit of planning and organizing. AND then, My apologies to all since a health related incident got in there somehow.. The doctors are still trying to decide what to do with me.. LOL.

I have finally gotten the Bug to create and teach as I go. This years thoughts/ themes will be to show you step by step Layering! It's a scrapbooking trick I found the hardest to learn and keep in mind as I started this journey ten years ago.

When I first started scrapbooking it was step 1. paper, step 2. photo/photos, Then step 3. embellishments.WITH Journaling!! a must on every page.

Over the years the artistic personalities have taken off with many more ideas and added steps to this concept.

I've gone thru the rule-of-3's, the balanced composition, Journaling prompts, sparkle/bling,

clustering and all the other wonderful Eye Candy trends...and so what is left? Back to BASICS, my friends..... SCRAPbooking. That layering process which now numbers into the 8 to 12 layers BEFORE adding a photo, then more layers (embellishments) on top of them ( or after them). We don't want to cover our photos...

And don't be afraid to use more of EVERyThing... use up the SCRAPS.. Don't waste anything.

That includes items from our sewing baskets, kitchen, wrapping papers, etc, etc.. old clothing/scraps of material, trinkets, lace, beads and from your pile of ?? items.

This goes for Digi scrappers --if you can scan it or take a photo of it: then you can use it..

The Aussie gals have a ScrapLift challenge going on and while analyzing their layouts I got this idea of showing you the Layering that goes on from these talented ladies .. this technique works for cards, wall hangings, gifting and album pages... sewing projects, and most crafts--so with that, I'll get busy creating and sharing with you each week one special layering project..

I work in digital and paper so will explain each project as I go along. Stop by after the week end and grab your first lesson/hints on layering..

Trees, Pictures....HO,HO,HO

DD#2 doing her yearly Christmas duty.. Lights on the tree/s. (she hates it when I snap shots of her..but these are the precious moments that don't happen everyday)

We are ready for the Holiday.. And Christmas Eve we will be opening our presents.. This is an all adult household with fur babies x 5.( 2 dogs and 3 cats.) Hanging the stockings is alot of fun since we have to do it everyday.. there is a culprit who UNhangs them and plays with them thru the night. I find one particular sock in the kitchen , on the stairs or across the room every day. I think it is Smucge- She just can't leave it hang.... "Its furry and dark, so maybe she thinks it's her baby".

We are scheduled to have more snow..after 5 / 6 inches last week. It did do the icy rain on top of it all this past monday. The roads are all cleaned off so I reckon we can take more snow. I like the nice gentle snow on Christmas Eve.. then it can all go away. I'm ready for the sunshine and Spring Storms.

Will leave ya with wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I'm not creating much these days with a health problem.. Just did a proceedure yesterday to place a monitor in the GI tract. It's all about the Gerd problem and finding out why I have so much pain all the time.

I generally don't like pictures of myself. But we are all very critical and don't like our own mugs. But like my Mother told me.. (she never let us take pictures of her) She regreted not having photos of herself thru the years. And said that it was selfish on her part.. even her worst pictures were treasured by others. And I had a darn hard time snapping her when she wasn't looking.

So for better or worse, I try to get a "mug" shot of me as I travel thru life. This is one of me and DD#2.. this past Thanksgiving Feast Day with her In Laws. A great family!!

I look at this and really see the years I've lived. The wrinkles don't hurt unless I look in a mirror. I don't "feel" any different than I did when I was in my 30's...but I am a whole lot wizer!!

In the attic

Well we got down all the Halloween decor, boxed & packed them away in the attic, but while in there--- DD#2 decided to get out all the Christmas decorations & tree. I mean why 2 trips?? She likes to economize her energies and volunteered John's knees and back. So here is the "stash" waiting for ME to drag out and decorate the 'halls'. AND I haven't had my turkey & dressing yet!!

I did make 2 Door hanger's for the Christmas Season.. that is one in the above photo..and the other is hanging on our door, already!!

I went with the Jingle bell theme this year.. and made a dash to Hobby Lobby while their "greenery" was at 1/2 off prices. even the ribbons and many other Holiday goodies were on sale with 1/2 off prices all over the place.

with the aid of florist wire and wire cutters, I wrapped the goodies together and got this baby finished in minutes..I've had those snowmen bells since last year, but didn't get to use them since I was in Tx. for the Winter. ( I missed my crafts) So I started getting lots of goodies put together for the coming holiday.

We are headed out to dinner for Thanksgiving this year, so No Home Cooking,,,,,and NO MESSES to clean up afterwards. And hoping I will feel more like Christmas Decorating after I have a full tummy of Turkey.

I have PSE8 and I think Hummie works with PSE9.. not sure, but I've finally got Stripes!! I love 'em, but couldn't figure out on my own how to get straight lines.. So simple once you see how the Pros Do It. THANK YOU Hummie!!

I don't know where that gal gets all her energy!! (and she even used a joke I shared with ya last year that I found in my grandmother's recipe book!!)

I turned my first page (first try) 90 degrees because I like my strips tall and thin.
I love to make my own papers, so this is gonna expand my file for patterned pages.

Sorry about the interuption..we had to go vote!! And it is so painless! Well, the wind was a blowing and the temp was 40F. brrrr. but worth it. That is why I got out my hat, gloves and big thick coat, yesterday!! I knew it would come in handy soon..just not so soon.

Do You watch the signs of Mama Nature?? Well, I am from the generation who remembers her parents & grand parents talking about the butterflys, the willie worms, the corn silk, the crickets and the moon. "also, grannys predictions of a storm= "corns" hurting." And you know they are right on!!! I don't need TV to know that Storms of the equinox coupled with these predictions are just as accurate as our local meteorologist. It will be a cold, dry winter here in my area...according to the "signs" I observed.. Top that Mr. Meteorgist.!!

For the Freeze that is coming our way? Darn it was only 22 degrees F here this morning and I've been froze all day.. Now tomorrow is another day..suppose to get sun and 72. I'll take it!! and hope for a few more. But Winters here in Ill. are very unpredictable. Mean while I can't wait to work on a couple pumpkins....well get the kids to work on them. Here is the before picture...

Lets, see what else have I puttered around doing... well I did work out a couple Christmas ornaments Ideas. Clusters of green, red and gold with snowman bell at the bottom. Kinda Cute and easy. Just gotta have the right wire: get the florist light wire (20gage), put pieces together and wrap with the wire to hold it all together. I didn't do any steps of photos for these.. so play around and see what you can make. *the ribbon is the wire on sides kind with glitter and bling* And the folage I got on sale in the silk flower department.

OK, so I'm rushing the season, but I had to do something with my hands and the parts were just laying there looking at me. There..put them all together and what do ya got!! Pretty for the season.... I'm sure I'll be doing lots more before Santa comes a calling.

I'll be setting up my portable table and getting the yO yO angels done tomorrow... Their Hair is here!! No more bald sweeties!! And I can finish up the photos for step by step- show N tell.

It's rainy again today here in my area. Not too cold as yet, but we had "frost" yesterday morning...so Fall has Fallen.

I'm trying to catch up on all the political candidates here in our area... There is no way to tell who will do the Best job..for US. I just want to get those out who have caused our economic poverty. Yes, POVERTY. I don't care if they call it a resession. To most of the american populace..we find ourselves in POVERTY. Years of saving, planning and faith that our golden years would be financially sound---went out the window with the first bail out... Why Can't our politicians take the same blow as we have??

Getting ready for Christmas now that the Halloween decorations are up and I found some Christmas stuff mixed in with it. Funny how one little thing out of place can start a whole new train of thought and activity.. So I got my goodies all together at Hobby Lobby and went thru my fabric stash to make this year's Tree Ornament to hand out at the office. (DD#2's office since I am retired) And photos will follow later on after I start the "assembly" process. It's just in the planning stage for now. Think Angels and hold that thought til I get them done or documenting a how to?? Just a thought for now.

A question asked by a member at Scrapadilly got me started on template making in PSE8. I haven't done one of these in ages..and I have it offered up to you for FREE.. A one photo, 2 borders, a frame, 1 scalloped mat and journal lines.. it is in psd type file so that all the layers are there..even the hidden ones..LOL. Do I check my work?? Well, not always..I just create and let the chips fall where they may.. I do look over the presentation carefully as I make a preview, but Did I TELL ya, It's FREE.

Yup, the construction is in full swing just down the road a piece! Widening and putting in a sidewalk that will allow me to head down to BIG LOTS on my own..with my tricycle and shop til I drop!! It will take awhile for it all to get done, but At least the WORK is in progress.

This happens to me quite frequently..I never think much or plan my Shots.. I just snap away with my digi camera!! I'm from the film generation and It is so liberating to have all the photos I want without the waste or cost of developing them. And I get to "fix" or "delete" the ones I really mess up.

Ok Lets jump right into fixing the "dark" photo.. I used PSE6 to first crop, lighten, and adjust the hue. I still wasn't happy with the results; Couldn't see that handsome fellows face.. So on a whim I turned it to B&W... Walla- It's a KEEPER!!

I purchased some tubes last year while my MOJO was raging and running wild. When I finally came down from that rush, I found the misplaced file of halloween CU's. My thanks to the creators.. (who are on another computer and I'll have to grab the Thumb drive to catch the names., but they should be in the tou's inside the file. If not, contact me and I'll get the names to you) Mostly I use the stamps and textures that came with the PSE program;And, my Genius Mouse Pen Tablet to make the embellishments and papers.

MIX & MATCH-photographs

I got into that box of photos thats been taking up room on my table and did work out some problem photos that were important to me. I am NOT a great photographer- I'm a snap now and fix later since digital cameras and programs have entered my life. My DD#2 likes to "help" and will often print stuff right out of the camera before I see them- she did and I finally solved how to use some of those "Oh Hum" photos that should have been deleted.

This is an important person at the Graduation of My G/daughter. He wouldn't let me get too close with the camera, so I just shot & snapped away with little thought of what I was getting. But it turned out ok..since I combined 2 into 1 really good subject. And with little journaling It is ready for the scrapbook album.

I am NOT good at seeing what surrounds my subject nor pay attention to my light source when I have camera in hand. I'm too emotional to be behind the camera, so I have to get creative with my photos. My grand daughter graduated High School and her other Grandmother held a wonderful party. I couldn't get the other GMa out of the kitchen where that window was streaming sunlight behind her, so I snap away and hoped I could rework it digitally...which I did, but paper scrapping with the prints right out of my camera made me solve and use each & every important print..

Ya just gotta get "CREATIVE"-- don't pitch it, til I've seen it. GRANNY

I survived

Endoscopy went well.. biopsy taken and another wait.. increase of meds and I'm left with time on my hands.. so back to the "recycle this".

Using the left-over 2 bottom pieces I used my stamps, punches & glaze for a few "embellishments".

There are other uses, if you want an unfinished look, just use the unprinted side.. grab some "punches" or stamps and PLay!!

New Computer Stuff

My older computer just couldn't keep up with me and the internet..freezing, stalling and spinning in place.. I am fortunate in having great children. My DS#1 sent me a brand new uptodate-computer. Windows 7 & in my favorite Color!! Red.

It is so fast, but having to get the new wireless gear has held me up with creating and using it. o I went shopping and purchased PSE-8. They are on their way...Meanwhile, I've been relegated to the laptop.

I went looking for some "how-tos" for PSE-8.. and found a place I really l like- www.scrappersworkshop.com

Love the Tuesday Tips.. for knowing what the "tools" are all about.

I've been neglecting my camera and working with close up shots.. not as easy as it seems. I must have the "old lady shakey hands" since most of my shots are blurry. back to the use of camera stand (bean bag) and retaking some shots.

Friday the 3rd of Sept I'll be going thru some surgery/endoscopy to fix my GERD & check out a possible bile duct obstruction. I really like this Dr Trainer and can see why He is booked up to the end of the year. I was fortunate to get in as quickly as 2 weeks. He must see that I'm in trouble/pain. So bear (LOL) with me. I'll get caught up one of these days.

I love these little kleenex boxes and I buy several each month.. they are little bits of art that I hate to just throw into the garbage.. (actually recycle bin for papers).

I am a stamper, scrapbooker & recycle Queen.. so what do I want/need with these little beauties?? What could one do/remake with these?

First let's take one apart and see what inspiration comes to me..

OK!! a light bulb went off.. and I could use the top 2 portions..for:

I can perch this on a shelf since I left a little stand at the bottom.. or trim & flatten for a wall..*need several since they are small*. Or just the top with the oval opening for a scrapbook page!! Hey, lets look at some stamps for the bottom section..

How's that for RECYCLING!! Give ya any ideas?? If so, let me know.... I have a couple more boxes I can play with.

Gathering

Here I go again.. gathering items/material for some projects I've been talking & thinking about.

First of all a "tribal belt".

This one has alot of movement.. and in a triangle shape at the back. Long tan fringe all around!! I'm sure I won't be that detailed.. but I have, beads, yarn and material... (see the blue brocade at the top I plan to make a Belt from a goodwill dress I found for $8.00).

I gathered the necessary images/tubes/shapes to do a few digi scrap pages, I just hope my eyeballs will allow me to get something done in that area this week. Thinking of using this photo as color inspiration.. I didn't say THEME... Just colors.. PSE6 lets me pick colors out of a photo to use..I make a bunch of little boxes of color on one sheet & save it in a file for future referrence.

So My week has been "planned". let's just see if it all works out. GRANNY

Did ya notice those wonderful costumes each of the dancers wore?? Can you guess how many "layers" of clothing they had on? I betcha can't.. I'm still trying to figure it out, so here is my answer on this subject. Let's take a close look at Amanda from ATS-flyin skirts in her basic outfit.

Top: head, she isn't wearing the optional hair pieces, turban/hat or flowers, but she certainly could and still be tribal. Add long hair!! It's a must!

Bust: that cover is called a Choli.. it is basic wardrobe item and everyone should have a "good" choli . Choli's can have long or short sleeves and they come in so many colors and fabrics.. So spend some cash on a good one that you feel comfortable wearing. Now you can add on top or beneath such things as a "coin Bra", jewelry that include Cowrie beeds/shells or what ever at arm, necklace, or wrist. Dangle goodies or use a shear cover up over your belly.. You're still "tribal". (You want a good bra under your Choli for support, esp you well endowed ladies- you know whatcha need-just make sure the choli covers it.)

Waist/hip: Starting from unders.. harem pants or loose flowing pants in any color you like!!

Next a skirt or two--if one is see thru all the better. Here you want "flowing fabrics". (the image has one cotton skirt with RED border at bottom over harem pants). On top of the skirt, ADD a scarf with tassels..or coins!! Or both!!or Add a shorter colorful "square" skirt. (Tribal is more about tassels & fabric flowing while the Cabaret style is more about Noise & glitter)

BELTS: this is a separate catagory..and you can really spend alot of time, money & effort on Tribal Belts.. There are coin belts.. tiny intricate belts to large glittering noisey belts, or cloth belts with lots of flowing fringe, tassels & flashy items.... the image has long light brown yarn & tassel belt.. A good belt will cover your bottom and tie in front/side with long ends that hang down.

We are showing bellys, All belly's. You don't have to have a flat belly or tooth pick bod to dress up and DANCE.. But if you are self conscious about your belly, use a shear cover up. Just some chiffon fabric sewn to your bra and tucked into your waist/hips ..but it has to be SHEAR!!

FEET: you can wear slippers or go bare foot.. I have a thin pair of house slippers in black that I use..but mostly I am bare foot. Ankles can have bells, bobbles or jingles. Toes can have RInGS.. HOW fun!! but that is getting back into the cabaret style costuming.

Search and learn, there are so many great costumes, that you may want them all...so here is the trifty way to get outfited.. SEW- Make those Harem Pants..*they are under everything so don't have to be perfect..just elastic at the waist & ankles!! The large flowing skirts has elastic at the waist, and your belt covers all that..Make a belt with yarn and bits N bobs from your sewing stash...Loop, chrochey long strands of yarn, and make lots of large tassels!! add your own style of fabrics ..remember colorful!! and you are good to go!!

OK, Now I am hooked. I sew and I have this stash of YARN.. great for making TASSELS..

I think I can make a darn good "belt"!! Gotta check my fabric stash....Hmmm

ok, the code doesn't wanna work for me here. So I just added the link. Hope it shows ya what I recently got hooked on. Awaiting a skirt & pant set so I can at least dress the part. I love the American Tribal dances. There are the Caberet style which the MEN really go crazy for, but I like to look and dress "my age" and it is a bit Renni Faire lookin'. Hope to get an hour or two's practise in later today.

I'm just lazy...with this blogging thing. Esp since I had to give up designing digital kits. The ol' eyeballs are not co operating and my screen keeps fading away on me. I will try to continue doing some scrapping..more paper now than digi with the eyes giving me trouble.. Glasses DO NOT help or improve the condition. So I have to slow down and give up some things.

Other News. Working up the courage to have some surgery done to "fix" the Gastric Reflux problems. Getting a BAND to prevent the "juices" from coming up instead of going DOWN. I tell ya, Old age is not for the weak or faint of heart. Gotta have courage and be prepared for anything!! Like insomnia! (keep some good audio books on hand).

Had a bunch of Fluid Retention..but got rid of 6 lbs with some meds and careful dieting. .. And if that wouldn't keep ya watching your diet...then a bout of constipation should put you on guard to the amount of Roughage you need. LOL. Life is good!! NOT!!

It's such fun to look back.. way back in this case! I got this tiny 2x3 image of me when I started high school. (A friend was doing the 50 yr class reunion "news" booklet for the class of 1960) and I got access to a couple of goodies..

So what do I do with those tiny but precious images. Well, look out Photoshop E. 6.0 You are gonna get a work out!.

on the right>> is the scanned image..8.5x11 - I'm the 3rd one down from the top.. one image of me has a wet spot on the chin.. the other is pretty grainy. I went with grainy.. crop, straighten and play with the extra features in the "tool" menu!! You may get something you really want to KEEP and SCRAP.

It's still pretty grainy.. I did scan it at 600dpi.. reduced that to 300. but still lots of pixel to work with. the far right is "pinlight" and I really like that look.. I'll add a Hue to match my background page and scrap it!! I'm 14 in this photo..

Recoperating from a Vacation

It's not easy getting over a vacation.. LOL. Got home on the 24th of Feb and still can't get back into sitting down at this beast to create anything. I worked on a small kit, just gotta think of a name for it b4 putting it in the store.. http://www.scrapdebris.com/

I have to relearn this darn Photoshop program.. All those neat little "tricks".. just disappeared from my brain cells. So I went back and reveiwing all those Jessica Sprague classes I took. It's helping..but my forhead is getting really distorted from the SLAPs and DUH moments!

Picked up a neat safari kit to use during the Scrapvivor #2 over at http://www.gingerscraps.net/ this month. I will probly be out of the running this week.. missed the immunity challenge and my lo this week isn't showing very well. There is just so many talented ladies playing this round!! But am making friends and relearning fast...

Week #2 submission for Scrapvivor:

Developed an inner ear infection/problem. Man, talk about a dizzying experience!! Been awhile since I had anything that bad health wise. Just walking across the floor was a wild ride in the dipsy-do part of my brain,,,then the nausea came into play!! Egads, what else am I gonna catch this year?? I've only been home a month and feel totally beat up and washed out.

OH, yeah!! that treadmill arrived and I'm learning how to hang on as it takes me for a drag. I was at 158 lbs and really needed to "exercise" more/regularly. That stop smoking and vacation food mill really showed up around my WAIST... At least I can say I'm working out now. Too soon to say if I'm losing weight, but maybe it will firm up some of the excess drag.

OK, I'm off to see about getting a new look around here and putting together some FREE stuff for ya all. No promises on anything .. NO set dates or events til I get this inner ear thing cured and under control.

I found myself doing a couple of pages for layouts instead of creating elements or papers for others this week. I used all free stuff I've found at other designer blogs.. esp love the RaspberryRoad and WenchGraphics site. I created the little avatar at the top for myself and

here are the pages I got done.

This is Me and Uncle Orville.. a younger brother to My Mother (remember there are 6 of these critters in her family) I hadn't seen this Uncle since 1993. He is 10 years my senior. But after a certain age, the years meld together and we all look a bit worn around the edges.

This is My Youngest Grandson.. Matt. (My Son's son) 2008. I steal photos from the Facebook my son keeps.. since they live out on the East Coast..and Im in the Middle of USA.

And this is the page that started me scrapping. I made the cat, ghost, crow and the Photomask. Do they look familiar?? Well, keep on scrolling down this page and you should find them.. Maybe not the photo mask, it is part of a set I'm working on to sell at www.Scrapdebris.com (like a project started and not finished) the floral clusters come from Raspberryroad . That photo is of the Neighbors Tree..It turned a beautiful shade of golds this year.. so I had to snap it.. I get to look at it everyday so It had to be extra special for me to snap it.

OK, back to reading the Vampire Series, Lestat by Anne Rice. Appropriate for this time of year.. Love MY KINDLE!!

It's been so dreary with all the rain around my part of the world..typical Fall Weather! Just letting everyone know I haven't forgotten my poor blog. It's just life getting in the way of creativity. Lots to get accomplished so I can Winter In Texas.. Bags are on their way already.

When they left the house, It really HIT ME.. It's REAL!! My ticket to fly down is all set up and seat reserved. Now the ol clock keeps ticking and I'm trying to get everything cleaned up and put away for the 5 months I'll be gone. 5 MONTHS!!

Got a quilt top to finish and the sewing room to put in order. pack all my "toys" into one bag that I'll carry on. I won't tell ya how that is going. I am still searching for the smaller/but large enough bag for that. Make sure I get to the hair care shop before I depart. Doctors to see and appointments to reschedule .. I just know I'll forget something and be rushing around at the last minute to "getter done".

Now DD#2 is getting my NEWEST TOY to connect to our wireless system..

I'm sure I'll be able to keep in touch with this while I am away from HOME. Love the new Windows 7 package... It's much bigger & faster than this "beast" I currently am on.. so who knows.. some night when I can't sleep, I may just get creative!!

5 Free halloween critters

Just getting over a round of the 'ickies'.. don't know what else to call the germ that visited me this past week, but it was a "down & outer" type that kept me close to my bed, eating chicken noodle soup and drinking lots of juices. I knew I was getting better when I got "lost" in trying some new ideas in digital scrapping. I couldn't wait to get into the "shapes" again.

I can't help it !! I am fascinated with SHAPES and what to make with them.. So here are fruits of my labor as I play in PSE6 making Critters. The cat is from my brush collection, but I tried an edge and eyes!! I just love my "tools".

I am getting my bags packed and ready to ship them off to Texas. I leave Nov 11th, but a friend is driving down in a week with a big ol camper and offered to TAKE them so I wouldn't have to pay extra for flying them down. Got to get my priorities sorted thru and check my list... So If I don't get back here with freebies for awhile, I will try to let ya know how the weather is in TEXAS this winter...

I know I said I was NOT gonna play in PSE since I have to get everything ready to head out to Texas..but while cleaning out this beast, I keep finding files I "meant" to do something with..
I used some new techniques on the papers..and some Shapes with accent "styles" that I finally learned where to find them. So here is a quick mini in 12x12@300dpi for you to play with.
While playing around, I had to try out a tool I didn't know I had.. It's called color burner. It shades and darkens the area/s you move your mouse over. I used it to 'shade' the edges of the papers...practice time for me..and a FREEBIE for you.

Now I mean it..I have to get a ton of stuff done and packed for my winter in Texas this year. It is getting to darn cold for me here in Illinois.. Had to give in and turn the furnace on this morning.

On my to do list is get one more Block done for the Quilt Block Swap I'm doing with DD#1 -Florida. Wash up the clothes I need to pack, and get them off to a friend who is driving down there next week (will park camper right across from mine).

I'm flying out on the 11th of Nov and with security and extra costs the airlines now have, I hope to have one carry-on to get thru the check points. Thank goodness I know of someone who hauls a big A$$ camper there & back. I've got a camper & site all reserved from Nov 2009 to March 31, 2010.

Well, daylight is here and lots to think about and do.. so I'm getting off the "beast" and back to work. Darn Vacations are alot of work!!

4-share is being a pain in the tush..preview there looks like I don't know how to get rid of unwanted pixels..but I did, I do and redid just to be sure.. and it really is kool the way the Lighting brush lets ya spread those evil looks on a page.. I got all of my elements from Photoshop/brushes/shapes/vectors..and then added styles and textures. I was looking for the Font name and darn it all, I didn't write it down.. Now I can't find it or remember it. Sorry.

Cleaning Time & a Freebie

As you can see on the preview (image) I did these little critters for a color challenge at http://daydreamerdesignworks.com/forum/ this last week. The critters are made from circles, stars, ovals and triangle shapes.. using the swirl and liquify tool in PSE6 to get the final critter. Except for the white dove. It was a CU purchase at WWW.commercial-use.com . I just had to play with some puffy shadowing techniques to get it looking realistic. Adding an eye and face to each was so much fun!! NOT--

OMG..got tons of Real Life stuff to get done and little time left for designing and blogging. So you know what has to take a back seat to Life?? U know.. my design time. I thought I had tons of Freebies lined up to give you, but with 4 share having issues I've held off spreading that bit of garbage around.

I hope today I get all the paper work and applications filed for my Border Pass Card. I needed my state ID-drivers license, birth certificate (finally came in the mail) and 2 photos (specially made/taken) before I could even get to the FORMS to fill out and mail off to the Government office.. Not a big problem to get done IF YOU DRIVE. But I don't, so it's been slow going and time consuming.

I gotta learn the bus routes around here..and then it's the rain that keeps showing up. Nothing is co operating with me and MY wants. But I'll get there. Just takes me longer than the average bear. Look out TX you will be getting another Snow Bird this Winter.

So I may not get here for awhile to dangle little freebies in front of you.. but know I will be back as soon as real life gets itself in place and everything organized. Still gotta get a new cell phone and set up the lap top for travel..

Ah this vacation is turning out to be alot of WORK...but isn't that the way life is? Anything worth while, takes alot of thought, energy and work. GRANNY

It is official!! I got "borned" yesterday with the delivery of my Birth Certificate. It has my adoptive father on it..but at least I have proof that I am a US citizen of legal age to travel across the Mexican boarder..or canada if I ever go NORTH for a vacation. Now to get my Border Pass Card. Next step is Off to the post office with 2 photos , birth certificate and state ID card, since I don't drive. Winter plans are looking pretty good right now.

The people who own the place I am staying at offered to rent the place for the entire Winter with an option to buy!! Price is right for my budget..but I wanna see before paying. There are some repairs that need to be done, but heck I wasn't expecting a mansion- just a roof over my head with a bathroom inside!! I am a natural born "nester" from way back. Mom taught me how to take an ol shack and make it Clean, comfortable, and homey without spending a ton of CASH.

Elbow grease, soap & hot water!!

Never be afraid to try something different!! It could be a gold mine of memories!!

Ok, I couldn't get the darn images of Quotes to come up here.. so I have another quick cluster to share with you.. Again the file to download has the completed png shown here..but also has each layer for you to customize it for your own pages. There are 10 layers in 12x12@300dpi. but I duplicated and separated the butterfly and fern leaf. - just in case you didn't have that capability with the program you use. You can add shadows, resize, or delete individual items!!

I found a great CU kitty to use along with the CU butterfly at www.Commercial-use.com. The rest I made using PSE6=love the swirl maker and often get lost in the possibilities and forget why I wanted one.. Even tho I have a file with brushes & pngs of many more I have made, I just love to play around and customize them for the project I am working on.

Just a heads up.. I'll be spending the Winter months in the warm Texas Sun!! More to follow about that adventure when I get the darn birth certificate from the County where I was born. Back in the day, records were sealed on any/all adoption cases..even tho It was my Birth Mother and a Step father.. ??? someone didn't read the fine print!! So there are NO open records where I can get a copy without going thru a bunch of red-tape!! A really long bunch of RED TAPE.. Since all my parents (biological and adoptive) are deceased!! Week 2 Build-it kit

Wow, where did the week go!! Seems like I just blinked and here it is late Sunday and another week is here. I went soft for ya this week..sometimes I get pretty loud with my colors. But I like bright/bold colors with shine and shadow.

The Pinkey finger is healing nicely, but still needs to stay wrapped and that is such a pain..Always seems to get in the way of the simplest things I try to do. But it hasn't been a
month yet--and I am suppose to forget it ever happen in that time frame. Only 2 more weeks and I'll Never know it ever happened!! MOM promised!

I am putting off cleaning up and organizing pse files-the ones I used all the time for digi creations. But it is getting difficult finding things I know I have. So this evening I am gonna
try to work on some organization of just the brushes..**tons** of them!!

But If I don't shut off that darn tv - Hallmark channel, I won't get anything started. A real tear jerker is on and I can't ignore the story.. It's over in a few more minutes.. so that leaves me a couple of hours to get into the files.

Won't spend much time explaining the next 4 weeks of Aug except to say I hope you enjoy a bit of a challenge and a learning experience. I created this in PSE6 6x6 papers @300 dpi. with elements in png @ 300 dpi so you can up the size for home printing or professional.

Had a little slicing and dicing accident and can not use my Pinky finger til it heals over.. thankfully I have worked ahead and have the files all set up and ready for Aug. It has been a fun filled couple of days for me.. I've been learning so many new techniques and tool uses in PSE6 that I just gotta start sharing some of this stuff with ya before I explode with excitement. Next Monday.. for the month of Aug I will be sharing a series of "build-it" pages with you.

Once a week I will post a freebie for you to download. All the elements in the .png format and instructions on how to make the page will be in this file for you. Some tips and tricks will be included in the instructions. Also, I am taking another class with JessicaSprague in Aug. Therefore I will only be posting a freebie once a week.

Now 4share imaging is messing up on me..so don't think that what you are downloading is looking that HORRIBLE... It's the opening in the QP that looks terrible, but I tested it and the actual file is clear and actually very PRETTY.. Just like the image I put here. (see below) It's just 4-share messing things up again and no matter how many times I reload it..It still has a God-Awful-Look!!

Just a quick run by today..got grub run to do and then off to see the latest Harry Potter Movie this evening while the guys are taking over the ManCave-Party Garage and play a game or 2 of bags.. It's not a pretty sight when they gather and start throwing things. Chugging a few and throwing things seem to go together with the MEN around here. LOL

One more QP for you using that same color palette-Gummy Bears. Now don't freak out when you go to 4-share. The image there looks like hell. the cut out of the frame looks unfinished to say the least- but I tested it and It looks just like my image here. so Your photo should show nicely once fitted behind the page.

Anyone like GummyBear Colors?

Have ya ever concidered the colors of everyday stuff to inspire a page or 2. Well a little challenge to use GummyBear colors (just 2) got me to thinking about hues of Red and Yellow.
You can go darkest to lightest and still be in those colors... Lighting is everything when you want an interesting look on any project. Paper or digital, wall or floor-- it's all about lighting.

In PSE6 there is the tool bar at the top with "filters". Drop down menu with hundreds of choices to add texture, lighting and filters to any image you are working on. Click on "render" then on
Lighting. Play with the features til you find one you like . There is always the undo and do it all again til ya get something like the bugs tails, the stone wall or the background spotlight.

Play around with those features in the tool bar FILTERs!!

There is so much to learn and I'm exploring everything, watching tutorials and learning more all the time... GRANNY

Well, I've been back to school and not creating very much-Time versus brain cell productivity. The cells are firing on all synapsis, but time to get them visual is limited. I had to boot a few cells out and grow new ones so I could absorb more data with the class I am just finishing up over at http://www.jessicasprague.com/ = inspirational stuff!! Try out her free photo lessons and you'll see what I mean. Learned a whole lot of tips N tricks. easier way to produce the effects I wanted. And found ways to use those extra buttons on my PSE program. (didn't know they were there!)

So my creation is a mini kit and is inspired by Drea @ http://www.scrapadilly.com/ who tempted me with her baked & decorated Cookies. I did get permission to use Name & Colors. That Striped paper is my own secret recipe.

Now it is time to run off to class & put those brain cells to use. Hope your week end is full of fun, relaxin and Cookies. Granny

I just can't do a layout anymore..or even a quick page.. There is something about having clipart on my beast to play with.. and I had a blast working in PSE6 with these cute little bears..CU and paid for. Marianne'sCreations.blogspot.com and other actions from Commercial-Use.com.

I find myself drawn to CU items only these days..which leaves my "beast" sighing with relief and thanking me profusely by continuing to let me play in the cyber world and creating. So in a short 2 hours I got that mini-kit put together. When I get a new action or clip art item, I unzip and play with it right away. Making and keeping items on hand and ready to plop in a kit. It gets a bit confusing at times since the colors don't always match the kit I want it to go in- but that is an easy fix if ya save the pse/psd file. And I save those since they are generally a smaller Keep-file wise. Then I do have my EHD and keep back ups on it.

definition: Tagger Size=generally small files used strictly for digital scrapbooking. @300 dpi means they should print out nicely on your "home" printer in the small images. Look great on a computer screen and show well in slide shows/mini album.

I would have had this up sooner, but some background goings-on left me without a password to log onto here..?? Anyway I got it figured out after 5 or 6 messages to blogger..with 3 different passwords..from old accounts (prior to 2005 & my digi scrappin days). Imagine tryin to figure that one out. I had forgotten I had those other accounts, til the messages from Blogger started coming back to me with passwords from those other accounts, but NOT this one. So I started tryin each one- Walla, found one that worked.. now to figure out how to change it back to the orginal-been here since 2007 and never had this type of problem!!

Don't cha hate it when a machine is smarter than you!!

I am not really good with making word art--I keep wanting to add more. Like a little folage to it, another layer of coloring and texture.. but I restrained myself to let you decide what extras you could do with these. I finally finished getting this 7x5 @ 300 dpi size Brag Book put together for ya.. Now its around 49MB in size..with windows where you just slip a photo behind it for you digi scrappers.

June's Free Kit-Fresh Air

First of June and I've been busy at the Beast...(my computer). made so many things learning stuff this past month that I put it together for a complete Kit for Summer for ya.. Large files for paper, printing, or digi scrapping.. Papers are at 12x12, Notes and Jounaling at 6x6 and all created at 300 dpi. No tagger sizes--

Sorry about the name..but in June I have all my windows open catching a breath of Fresh Air..and that is what came to mind when it was time to pick out a name..

While at DigitalDivas I got interested in joining a Blog Train..My First. So I applied and was happy to be accepted as part of the TRAIN... at Sweetwrapz Scrapart

Here are her requirements and color palette/s.

You may use PSP or Photoshop
All items should be saved as pngs so everyone may use the kits
No tubes please!
Your part should have at least 15 items!
You must commit until your kit is finished!

Yup and Yikes!! where did the time go? Between all the rainy weather this month, my eye surgery and learning a bunch of ways to use templates, I really forgot all about blogging and my cyber friends. I really must get me one of those "reminder" things...one that rings a bell and yells at me!! (do they make such things? I'd have to buy a couple.) so Here is a cute little mini using some of those new things I've been learning.
New colors, styles, patterns and png files for me.. and I almost Killed the "Beast" downloading files..then remembered to move and delete things that don't work or I don't use. DUH!!

Since my surgery, I've learned that sight is 90% the problem with my fuzzy/blurry files and elements. I hope I've gotten that corrected now. I'll have to go back thru my old files and get the corrections going..but that will not happen soon. It is summer time and the New Hot Tub is due to be installed this coming week..garden to tend with new tomatoe & pepper plants. Biking club to catch up with..I'm joining this time!! There has to be a Senior Citizen catagory for short rides around this area somewhere, right? This is Peoria, after all..a nice BIG CITY!!

I plan on spending more time out of doors doing some physical activities..whether it is walking a dog or riding my bike. It's time to tone up for the silly swim suit weather.. ugh!! Don't Look in the mirror, just throw on a cover up and ignore that lil ol fat lady!! Scales don't lie- 150 lbs. Never weigh that much even when PG with any of my 3 children!! at 5'3" I'm only 30 lbs over the Limit!! LOL

Gotta get going..the sun has risen and I have some plans for this holiday.. Memorial Day. Gosh they sure put things too early on this years calendar.. Hate it!!

BabydollScraps has a freebie QP that her friends 6 yr old made.. It is adorable!! What a talented little cutie!! (Yes, I am jealous!!)

OK. enough .. the itching (healing) process has started and I have to tie my hands to my sides to keep from scratching and tearing out the stitches.. Woke up in a hurry from that little trick early this morning.. Ouch!!

Surgery over...racoon eyes

Surgery went well.. I can see more just got Racoon eyes now. Not alot of pain, just nagging type that lets ya know you can't sit in front of a computer screen for long without vision going blurry.

So will have to get off here, find fresh ice pack and take more tylenol.. maybe get a couple more hours of sleep.. It's 4 a.m. here.

This Weeks Freebie_Quick pages

Was working on a new kit and to test drive the elements & papers, I made up a couple of quick pages instead of regular layouts. the PNG is for digital scrappers, and JPEG is generally for hybrid-print and use scrappers. But you all can use both!!

I still have lots of ideas for elements and papers, just gotta work on some overlays and add it to the completed kit - Ol Folk. Might take me another week since the weather has been so beautiful here. I find I wanna be outside doing Spring cleaning and getting ready to plant rather than sit inside in front of "the Beast". So it has been work an hour or two before going to bed at night. The only reason I'm here now is that it is RAINING HARD right now...

Surgery is still planned for May 4th.. So nothing new to report...just listening to the rain hitting the back patio tin roof and doing laundry!! Granny J.

Too Nice Out to stay In

I haven't forgotten to Blog.. Just can't keep myself indoors when the temp reaches 60 and above.

Just a tip for PSE6 users: Find your enhancement feature!!

I was having trouble with fuzzy edges/pixels straying where I didn't want them..couldn't get a well defined item.. Til I Started playing with the Enhancement feature.. Look in the top task bar of your PSE6 when it's open!!

Don't be afraid - there is always the IMAGE>REVERT feature.. It can take an image like on the top left to One that is ready to use on a scrapbook page.. whether you want it printed out on paper for your use or to use Digitally. ERASE as much of the messy edges as you can.. then do a SHARPEN image. ENHANCEMENT>SHARPEN IMAGE>SETTINGS 29% AND 40% (I left the background white so you could really see the difference.)

I'm quite sure CS and other PSE programs have this feature.. just don't know where to tell you to look for the ENHANCEMENT feature.. so you will need to Play In Your Program if it isn't PSE6.. LOL.

OK, so where did I find MY BEAR?? From a baby quilt and material I got at Wally World.. I'm making Burb Clothes for a new MOMMY. And practising my free style quilting technique with my very own regular sewing machine.. You'll have to go to my other Blog to see how that technique is working for me... Week 2 - Free Mini Kit

Was working with making realistic fruit..not an easy task using the cookie cutter tool and paint brush in PSE6. But by adding a new layer for each color and adjusting the opacity to around 25% it is doable!! It's one of those "learn by doing", making adjustments and adding lots of layers. Now there may be some Stray Pixels that I didn't get erased so you may have to re work some of these goodies.. that is why they are FREE!! It is my first kit/try at doing a more realistic looking item.

Next week starts my round of pre op visits to doctors to get some work done on my eyes.. testing first for what vision I do have and comparisons to what it was and could be if they did surgery. Then all the blood work, ekg and whatever else goes with having pre op testing done before surgery. Not a big deal, just takes time to get to the doc, run the required tests, and pay the bill for it all. I mean everyone gets their little chunk of ME!!

So My Playing In PSE6 will be strictly limited for awhile. First because of the time taken away from the "beast" to get the testing done. Then On May 4th it may be the surgical proceedure will interfer with my SEEING anything for a bit. As long as I can, I intend to continue learning and sharing with ya. Gotta take care of the Grey Matter along with everything else..If ya don't use it , You Lose It!! Granny

Week 1 Freebie - April

I tell ya an Ol Lady can learn new tricks. I searched and searched for the Fairies for this kit and all that I found for C/Use was in a Jpeg format. Which doesn't translate to a good PNG file for scrapbooking digitally. So The ones I did find needed alot of reworking. This is where I had to really put on my thinking cap. PSE6 has a Magic wand tool. I had never used it to extract images before.. But it saved my few brain cells and lowered my stress level - rather than do the manual extractions like I was used to doing.

With the warmer weather coming in, everyone here has taken a good look at themeselves in the mirror (getting ready for shorts and swim suits). It is the consensus that something needs to be done about our shapes.. Discussions proceeded from exercising more and eating less, to searches on line for a healthy lifestyle program to printing out grocery lists!!

I'm sitting here thinking, Yeah! Right! It's like those New Years Eve Resolutions we all make but find too hard to keep. Changing our behaviors is probably the hardest thing we ever will do in our lives, but.. and I say this with "tongue in cheek" - It's Best thing you will ever do for yourself !! Get healthy!!

Little do they realize that since I am the COOK and DD is the shopper, we have been doing the Healthy food choices for the whole family!! I just haven't figured out how to get the potatoes off the couch. It's eat, watch tv and go to bed each evening. What happened to the walk or work out ?? OK, OK, so I am NOT a good motivator - Nor do I set a good example. But when the whole house is off to work, I am Movin'. Up the stairs, Down the Stairs, Throw another load in the washer/dryer, fold it- up the stairs to put it all away.. out the door/ in the door, sweep the patios, dig in the garden, grab the mail, clean the hot tub..soak awhile!! Maybe I should do more of that when they are home.. but Honey, I'm too pooped at the end of the day ----

I am such a bad blogger .. lately it's been taking care of health issues. Everytime the Doc decreases my thyroid meds, the rest of my body goes into "what the Hey" adjustments. This time is no exception.. so til I get back that spark of energy, I've been taking care of ME..

If you have been following along this week, you'll see my creative process from start to finish on Color Palette and theme. I used a bit of whimzie, a bit of nature and lots of color choices, textures and scrapbooking with paper experience. Remember yesterdays photo... here is the color palette I got from just that one Snap. That dark Green comes up looking like Black.. I'll get the mini kit together and have it as a freebie soon. A simple spring theme. I just wore out before putting together the preview. Don't wanna have a preview without you getting the kit, that is just too much teasing and unfair. So Til tomorrow, I'll leave ya hanging with trying this color palette.. Yup, you can copy and use any of my color palettes..just let 'em know ya got inspiration from the Granny!!

I promise not to spend my whole day outside, again. I mean with temps in the 70's You didn't think I could sit here with the "beast" and create?? Summer is coming and Spring is rearing it's wonderous head.. bulbs are peeking thru the ground. Patio's have to be cleaned and ready for another season of gossipping and partys. Or just to sit a spell and let the sun warm up the innerds. I take great pleasure in a sit down after fixing the evening meal and just let my mind wander where it will. And my favorite sitting place is the front patio with a big ol glass of Ice Tea!!

Fair Weather

Nothing like some warm temps and sunshine to distract this ol Lady.. draws me outside and gets me thinking about flowers, gardening and nature. Like most of you out there, I can think of all these things but draw a blank when it comes to a color palette for a Spring Theme Kit.

So I did a cyber walk for inspirations.. just got more confused and had to put it on a back burner. Like planting a seed, leaving it to germinate and grow. I look mainly to fabrics for color combos or palettes.. Often a pleasing photo will grab my eye and I start dissecting it's colors. Like the above photo taken by My DS this past year when he was in Wisconsin. But that doesn't always mean a kit will come from it. So I save my "palettes" and come back to them later.

I'll be trying to focus and get a Spring/Summery Themed kit put together for all you Nature Lovers..

Personal Note:
Sending hugs and prayers out to Nita and Hubby.. He had a bad round with Ulcers.. gave us all a scare with pain and problems breathing. Rushed to the hospital, but is now home.

To DD#1: hope your sunburn is better. TAke care of that ankle, so you can do next month's marathon. And that Your Job is safe from all the cuts due to the downturned economy.

I love Americana Stuff, and took these colors from a wall hanging I have. Hope you come and visit my store when we get it up and running.. No Date just yet. Gotta talk to that SiteBuilder tomorrow and see when it will be open for business. The nice thing about having someone else setting up a cyber store is that I'm free to CREATe to my Hearts content.

I have 8 kits ready and over 10 smaller packets done. This one happens to be one of my favs and a follow up mini kit is working out great with matching papers/elements.. More along the lines of Country Folk.

So til then, I'm taking a break from the "beast" and working on a quilting project. This just might call for another kit about Quilts!!

This is one of my favorite photos! It didn't get scrapped before since there was an annoying EXTRA in the back ground. Playin around with PSE , I finally got that fixed.. see below:

Isn't that KOOL!! The eye dropper gave me the color for the back ground..the brush tool let me cover up the Extra person.. The clone tool would be used for more detailed backgrounds such as outdoor shots.. Clone, copy & past onto a new layer.. then merge. If only My Granny could see all this Technology!! She'd be so into it, too!

Off to find a bite to eat.. meds are kickin in. Took my Airborne for the ickies that DD#2 passed along to me. Then rest up a before getting a load of laundry done. Just overly tired and a chill or two. Darn ol bugs!! exactly 2 weeks to the day, SnIL started this. Is it possible to Fire him?

Wide awake at 3 am!! What the Heck,, maybe it's because the doc changed my thyroid doseage to a lower one?? This better not become a habit!!

Progress is being made on my store.. domain is mine, web site is named.. gotta wait til all the "buttons" work before I can spend more time on this beast and get my parts loaded into the store. Getting excited now. I've got lots of previews to do, zip and get ready. One of my favorites ideas for embellishments came from a childhood memory.

My Aunt Mary showed me her jewelry box: You know how nosey and curious a child can be, right? I fell in love with her Cameo Pin.. And Wanted to know how I could get one. It was a tradition that YOUR INTENDED gave you a Cameo back then. So I was Promised I would get one when I had an Intended. Unfortunately by the time I was old enough to have an Intended, that tradition was lost.

But!!

I now have several!! For any occasion I wish to recall. Who Says Only an INTENDED can give you one? Stop clicking on the image.. these are NOT free.

I'm so darn busy, worse than when I had a full time job!! Learning the ins and outs of setting up my own store.. DigiGranny.com - Should be able to preview and have it up and running by March 1. At least that is the deadline I gave to my site builder.

I do all the advertising for you. After all, that what Granny's are for--we have bragging rights!

But back to my progress with PSE6 and learning everything it can do!! Layers.. yes, I finally figured it all out. Whew! not hard if ya can just find the right button/s. Thank goodness for kids who are smarter than their Momma!! And who use the same program when they design or edit wedding photos!! Did I mention my DD#1,, Well I'd better, since she's been my biggest Mentor/supporter/teacher in this venture.

It is pouring here, and that makes me sooo lazy.. so I'm offering this small Digi kit I made from a color challenge at Digital Candy. They were wanting Grunge (my fav technique and scrappy style). So to get this little cutie, just click on the IMAGE:
4 papers, 4 starbursts, bar code and cracked overlay in 300dpi, 12x12 size papers. As you can see, I'm advancing my knowledge of PSE6 and all it's uses/tools. Most of the time an item does NOT come out the way I planned, then there are those items that just blow me away. I can't believe I actually created them- StarBursts. I think I felt a bit of warmth from the sun today..sure enough the outside temp gauge says it is 20 F. !!! Yah!! You can't fool these ol bones!! It is warming up around here.

The kids are off to work today after having a week off. Mental Health and Just Because I don't want to Work vacations for both!! See that is what Ol Man winter does for you...come on sunshine!! Energize and renew us all.

Those pesky birds are back already, making their morning noises to let other birds know they got here first.. chirpy squabbles all day long.. so I know for sure that Spring is gonna be right behind them with another round of birdy doo doo all over the back patio. We put up Guards to keep them from nesting, but I don't see where they stopped the immigration.. don't tell me we need a WALL.

No plans for today other than Supper. We have K here so I have to double my recipes again. He sure is much quieter than the last FRIEND who need to crash til they got re established in their lives. And alot more helpful around the place. Garbage out, cleans up his own messes so that you would never know anyone was in the kitchen.

I have recovered from that last bout of Ickies!! And with warmer temps getting here, I'm sure I'll find lots more OUTDOOR activities to play with.. First I've gotta Thaw out. So til Next week, download and enjoy your goodies. Head over to the DSG and play with your scrapping.

I didn't Get Frozen up, but it IS really cold outside and I've been creating and learning stuff with this digital scrapbooking. Ya know when you discover your brain cells are NOT dead and you get a flood of ideas crashing in and clamoring for attention. A little goodie that came from this Light Bulb Moment is a pack of Mulberry Papers. Grab them by clicking on the preview image below:

That Brush tool is wonderful.. so you get plain and patterned papers.. these are a bit smaller formated in 8x8 with 300DPI size so they should work for all size pages..and print off at home for you Hybrid Scrappers.

Another Light Bulb Moment had me creating elements that I found SHAPEs in the Cookie Cutter Tool box.. So those are awaiting my creative touch!! It's a great way to stay inside, stay warm and ignore Ol Man Artic Blast in My area - Central Illinois!

I'm without direction from My Designers at the moment. Seems they both are involved with real life issues and Health problems.. so that leaves me "on my own".
